Time to load up on your favorite movie-watching treats...Whether you are enjoying the great outdoors or watching inside to beat the heat, there are lots of local options to enjoy a family film or two this summer!

Missouri River Regional Library, Art Gallery – Have family movie night at the library! Bring a folding chair, sleeping bag, blanket or pillow and join the fun. Light snacks and drinks will be provided. This event starts at 6 p.m., but be on time! Library doors close at 6:15.

Ellis-Porter Riverside Amphitheater – “Stars Under the Stars” is presented by Missouri Care, a WellCare Company, in conjunction with Jefferson City Parks and Recreation and Missouri River Regional Library. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, and refreshments and be entertained by these FREE family films. Pre-show activities sponsored by Freshwater Church begin at 7:00 p.m. Movies start at dusk, approximately 8:45 pm.

Ellis-Porter Riverside Amphitheater – In cooperation with Jefferson City Parks and Recreation, Capitol City Cinema presents a new outdoor movie series called “In the Park, After Dark.” This event will include food truck fare and a wine/beer area hosted by Capitol City CORK & Provisions. Cost is $5 per person.

Jefferson City Manor – “Family Movie Night” is a free event hosted by Jefferson City Manor every third Friday through September. Games and concessions will be available. Bring lawn chairs or blankets to get comfy! Movie starts as the sun sets, approximately 8:30 p.m.

Goodrich Capital 8 – Come see family-friendly movies all week – in the morning! Members of GQT’s FMG Rewards program will be able to see any movie in the series FREE and get up to 6 free admissions per show. Non-members will be charged $1 per ticket.
