Pack a water bottle and slather on some sunscreen - there's lots of family fun around Mid-Missouri for Independence Day!


Sunday, July 1

Lohman Festival and Fireworks

9 a.m. - Patriotic Worship Service

9 a.m. - 3 p.m. - Corner Collectibles

10:30 a.m. - Lions Club BBQ

11 a.m. - 3 p.m. - Historical display of Millbrook, Stringtown and Lohman at the Lohman Community Center Open House

12 p.m. - 3 p.m. - Historic Lohman Mill open

9 p.m. - Fireworks display at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on the Hill


Tuesday, July 3

Jefferson City

4 p.m. - 11 p.m. - Salute to America Carnival Land - Four blocks of rides, games and fun in downtown Jefferson City!

6 p.m. - Lincoln University Salute to America Parade - Parade Route: The parade gathers at Adams/East Miller and travels McCarty to Monroe. Monroe to High. High to Jefferson. Jefferson to East Miller.

6 p.m. - Check-in for the Little Mr. and Miss Independence Contest at the intersection of Madison and E. High St. The event begins at 7 p.m.

Holts Summit

5 p.m. - 9:45 p.m. - Festival in Greenway Park with Kricket Alley performing, followed by a fireworks display.


Wednesday, July 4 - Independence Day

Jefferson City

8 a.m. - Red, Bike and Blue Family Fun Ride - Bikers are encouraged to dress up in festive attire and decorate bicycles. Registration begins at 8 a.m. at Red Wheel Bike Shop, 400 West Main Street. Bikers depart on an easy 7-mile ride at 9 a.m.

8 a.m. - 4th of July Firecracker Mile - Free. Edgewood Greenway. Parking available at Ria's.

11 a.m - Route 66 Classic Car Cruise In - Cars 30 years or older will be gathered at the 100 blocks of Jefferson Street and Capital Ave.

3 p.m. - Hot dog eating contest - How many hot dogs can you eat in 10 minutes? Pay $20 and try your hand at competitive eating!

3 p.m. and 5 p.m. - Missouri American Water Live Eagle Show 

9:15 p.m. - Red, White and Boom Fireworks Sky Concert - Tune in to NASH FM 100.1

Fulton

11 a.m. - Fulton Independence Parade - Parade Route - Starts at William Woods University entrance on 12th Street. Will travel south on Nichols Street to 10th Street, east on 10th to Court Street. South on Court to 2nd Street.

Fireworks display visible from Veterans Memorial Park.

Ashland

9 a.m. - 4th of July Parade - Parade Route - Starts at Southern Boone Primary School, north on Henry Clay Blvd., turn west onto Broadway Avenue and north onto Main Street.
