As the summer heat begins to settle in, the M.I.N.K collegiate baseball league (comprised of teams in Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas) is gearing up for what promises to be an exciting and competitive season. With teams made up of various collegiate athletes in the region, this league offers a fantastic opportunity for young athletes to showcase their talents and gain valuable experience on the diamond.

The Teams
This year, the league features eight teams, each bringing a unique blend of talent and enthusiasm to the field. The teams are:
- Jefferson City Renegades
- Carrol Merchants
- Chillecothe Mudcats
- Clarinda A's
- Nevada Griffins
- Sedalia Bombers
- St. Josephs Mustangs
- Warren Co Cropdusters
Each team consists of collegiate players who have completed their spring seasons and are looking to refine their skills, gain exposure, and perhaps even catch the eye of professional scouts. The players are hosted with local families during the season.
The Schedule
The summer schedule is packed with games, ensuring plenty of action for baseball fans throughout the region. Here are some key dates to mark on your calendar:
- Opening Day: May 29th
- Jefferson City Renegades vs. Sedalia Bombers at 7:00 PM
- Celebrity Softball: June 2nd
- Celebrity Softball game, followed by Jefferson City Renegades vs. Kansas City Monarchs at 7:00pm
- Strike Out Cancer: June 15th. Prior to game, honor a loved one by walking the bases. Vendors and agencies will also be on site.
- Bark in Park: June 16th. Bring your furry pal to enjoy the game OR take the opportunity to visit with rescues and consider pet adoption!
- WarDogs: July 13th with a Concert at 5:30 and an Honor Ceremony at 6pm, to be followed by the Jefferson City Renegades vs. Military WarDogs at 7:00 PM. Military, Veterans and First Responders $1 admission.
- Thankful Tuesdays: The Renegades would like to thank the following groups with $1 admission. June 4 - Educators/Staff, June 11 - Government Employees, June 25 - Military/Veterans, July 9 - Medical/First Responders and July 16 - Law Enforcement/Fire Fighters.
- Division Championship: July 23rd
- Championship Series: July 25th-27th
Fan Experience
The league is committed to providing a fun and engaging experience for fans of all ages. In addition to the thrilling on-field action, attendees can look forward to:
- Theme Nights: Including Craft Beer Night on May 31st. Wednesday Night games will feature BINGO. Friday Night games can be enjoyed with Panchero's burritos.
- Fundraising: This year, the Jefferson City Renegades will be raising money for K9s on the Frontline. You can donate directly on their website or by attending their Celebrity Softball game on June 2nd.
- Community Events: Kids Camp (Ages 9-13), June 17th-19th from 9am-11am at Vivion Field for $40. Plus Jefferson Renegades rewards a JCSD student and a River Oak Christian Academy student with season tickets, as well as nominated students who will receive single game tickets too!
