McClung Park š² a centrally located park atop a hill with Capitol building views and an all ages playground. This park has the perfect set up to host a birthday party, family reunion and BBQ. Year-round facilities, located indoors. There is a water fountain, however it is located inside the rented space and is only accessible when unlocked for event.
The Playground:
The playground at McClung Park is separated by a ledge for tots and bigger kids. Smaller structure on the lower level includes a climbing structure for little ones, baby swings and so low to ground climbing that attaches further up to the bigger kid structure. Upper level includes a evergreen theme structure with slides, a bridge, rope obstacles and tree climbers in addition to swings and a swing disk. Playground is accessible, but inclusive play is limited. Ramps for strollers and wheelchairs are located at far ends of playground. Ledge makes an awesome jumping point for thrill seekers, but would require caution for little ones who have not yet learned danger.
