Description
Capital Arts Chalk Art Fair will be held on Sunday, September 8 from 11am until 4pm in Memorial Park. Watch the sidewalks come alive! If you have never participated in Street Art we encourage you to join in a day of music, creativity and fun. Cash prizes will be awarded to winners in each category.
Drawing is done directly on the sidewalks – just like graffiti. You may begin working at any time after 11:00 a.m. A registration table will be set up near the Pavilion for chalk pick-up and you will be directed as to where to begin your Chalk Art. Judging will begin at 4:00pm. Let your imagination run wild. Reproduce a renaissance painting, a family photograph, a still-life, a cartoon, or portrait – whatever you want.
Art vendors will be around the park for you to purchase the perfect handmade art pieces. Food vendors available for food purchases.
